Co-design services We design with the customer, even when he's 6,000 km away Co-design is Costampress' pride and joy. When possible, Costampress works with the customer in designing parts, interacting and providing suggestions and technical recommendations in real time to prevent metallurgic problems during the production phase in the foundry. Costampress’ experience over the last 35 years has proven that 40% of end product quality and costs are defined in this phase. Poor industrialisation inevitably leads to high product costs due to production waste which requires additional labour and cleaning costs. This collaboration has changed us from a mould supplier to a precious and irreplaceable partner. Costampress attends tests, reviews designs and 3D models, runs parallel in-house checks with casting simulations so that changes applied to models provide the intended metallurgic result. Meetings between customers and Costampress can be held both in the factory with customers who can reach the Gardigiano facilities, or in video or audio conference with far-away customers. Thanks to dedicated software, customers can interact with all operating technicians in real time. This opportunity significantly reduces the customer’s project management time and costs, increasing the efficiency and productivity of the company that chooses us as their partner.
